Monday, May 7:  Last Homework Packet going home (Focus on Reading Comprehension and Math):  2 weeks to complete activities

Thursday, May 10:  Moms are invited to eat lunch with your child. Please bring a bagged lunch to enjoy.  Meet in our classroom from 11:00-11:30. Please return RSVP as soon as possible.  If you cannot attend, a special grandma or aunt can take your place, just let us know who to expect.  If no one can come, no worries!  Your child can eat with their teacher! Due to limited space, younger siblings should not attend. Please make childcare plans now.  Thank you for your consideration.

***End of Year Assessments for the final report card begin week of May 20 and will continue through the last day of school.  It will be very important for your child to be in school unless sick.

Thursday, May 24:  Farewell Mass for 8th Grade

Monday, May 29:  No School  Memorial Day

**Formal Practices for Kindergarten Celebration take place every day during week of May, 28.

Thursday, May 31:   1/2 Day Noon Dismissal (with formal practice- on stage with Ms. Jones) Kindergarten Celebration held in the Parish Center that evening (detailed information to come).  This event is considered our end of the year party where parents are invited.

Friday, June 1:  1/2 Day: last day of school noon dismissal.  Kindergarten has a private time reflecting on our year together before we head off to summer.  With the big event the night before with families, parents are asked not to join us during this special time as we reflect and say good-bye as a school family.

Schedule of Specials: 

Tuesday and Thursday (PE): children wear PE short and shirt with approved tennis shoes and plain white socks.  Light-Up shoes and socks with color/emblems are not allowed.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday (Spanish, music, guidance):   children wear regular uniforms (no PE).  Approved shoes and navy socks are required.  Tennis shoes are not to be worn on these days.  Belts are required if there are belt loops.  Hair accessories are limited to the colors found in the uniform.

Look for their Weekly Emergent Readers to go home on Fridays.  I encourage you to save these weekly emergent reader books in a special place:  a treasure box or special basket.  Whenever they want to pull out a story to read to you, they can select a story from their special story box.
